
Community involvement is an important part of the Stay On Your Feet WA® program. A range of community activities, including community education sessions and awareness-raising events are held across the state.
Community education sessions
Free community education sessions on staying active and mobile can be booked by senior’s community groups, clubs and organisations. If you would like to book your free community presentation, contact the Injury Control Council of WA on (08) 9420 7212.

Community grants
Small grants are available during Stay On Your Feet Week which is held each year to enable community organisations to run special events which:
- raise awareness among seniors of the risk of falling and how to take simple steps to avoid it;
- raise awareness of the importance of falls prevention within local government; and
- encourage community participation in local events.

Volunteers
Volunteers play an important role which is vital in supporting Stay On Your Feet WA® community development activity. The Injury Control Council of WA actively recruits, trains and educates volunteers to work on various Stay On Your Feet WA initiatives. There are many volunteer positions available.
