Tai chi is an enjoyable, slow and gentle form of exercise, originally developed as a martial art. Regular practice of the Yang style Tai Chi form has great health benefits, including improved balance, posture, circulation, calmness, coordination and strength. The structured fluid movements appear relaxed externally, yet should also be quite firm internally. In essence, Tai Chi is aimed at achieving better physical health and most importantly, greater happiness. People of all ages and abilities are welcome to attend an initial no obligation free lesson. It is recommended to wear loose fitting comfortable clothes and flat soled shoes. Class terms are approx. 10 weeks duration with dates aligned to school terms. A modest fee is charged for new enrolments to cover venue hire and Academy costs.
