Zumba Gold with Deb

Zumba Gold is a fabulously fun fitness program based on exciting Latin and international dance styles. It’s similar stylistically and musically to regular Zumba®, but it’s performed at a lower intensity level to be more accessible to certain people. Zumba Gold is intended for active older adults, Zumba beginners, fitness newbies, and other people that may need modified exercises.

Zumba Gold offers cardiovascular, toning, and balance training benefits in a party-like atmosphere. The moves are designed to be easy-to-follow for everyone. You don’t need any dance experience or exercise experience at all to get started. Like regular Zumba, Zumba Gold is exhilarating and effective, offering a full-body workout at a less intense level.

Lawn bowls

Lawn bowls is a fun and sociable way to improve your balance, endurance, coordination and cognition.

Ballroom Fit classes

Ballroom dancing is a great way to improve your balance, coordination, strength, flexibility and cognition.

Pole walking

Come along and join in a fun interactive walking group which utilises poles to provide a low impact cardio exercise while enjoying the company of likeminded people. Pole walking is an enjoyable method of walking using specially designed poles that exercise both the upper and lower body. Poles are available for loan or you’re welcome to use your own.

Walking sessions are on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:30 am – 9:30 am

Table tennis program 55 years plus

Enjoy the benefits of physical exercise in a fun, social setting.

Table tennis provides an opportunity to meet new people while improving overall fitness, strength, agility and improve hand to eye coordination.

Cost is $2 per session includes tea, coffee and biscuits.

Sessions run every Monday, 1pm – 3pm.

Square dancing classes

It’s fun and friendship set to music!

Only $10 per night for beginners classes. Tea, coffee and biscuits supplied.

Come and try croquet at WA’s biggest croquet club! Croquet keeps you physically fit, mentally alert and socially active.

Belmont Forum mall walking group

The Belmont Forum Mall Walking group recently celebrated their 10th anniversary, and are a reknown and well-loved part of the Belmont community!

They offer a friendly, family-like atmosphere of both close and new friends that is second to none, and love to welcome new people on board! Walkers enjoy the fun pace and safe stretches offered by the caring Leaders, and all ranges of ability are catered for. They have monthly morning teas to chat and relax. They would love to invite you to come and walk, have a cuppa and see what it is all about!

Bassendean 55 Plus Association activities

We provide activities and a social hub for 55 plus members of the community.

Our activities include sewing and crafts, chair yoga, swimming, social and board games, carpet bowls, karaoke, bus trips, and wining and dining at various restaurants.

Membership fees currently are $20 per annum.
