Functional fitness exercise classes to help you increase strength and balance to perform daily activities. We offer Functional Fit to develop your muscles, increase overall strength to reduce the risk of falls

Southern Plus East Fremantle – Living Longer Living Stronger

A strength based training program designed to improve the quality of your life. This program has been running in WA for over 15 years helping the community to increase strength, improve balance, mobility and flexibility
We offer 2 tiers:
Tier 1: Run by Exercise Physiologists and Physiotherapists
Tier 2: Run by Fitness Professionals

Southern Plus East Fremantle – Aqua Fitness

Aqua classes suitable for all levels to improve cardiovascular/balance/range of movement and flexibility

Using pool equipment/body weight to strengthen and improve your balance in low impact classes

Tai Chi – Riverton

Tai Chi with Sam Sujatna on Thursdays from 6pm at Riverton Leisureplex.

Delivered by Sam Sujatna on Thursdays from 9:30am at the Addie Mills Centre in Gosnells.

Arthritis Exercise Program – Bassendean

This is a gentle, low impact exercise program is suitable for people with any form of diagnosed arthritis. Each class is led by a physiotherapist and the program will include exercises for strength, flexibility and balance.

The classes will consist of both seated and standing exercises. Alternatives will be provided for those who wish to remain seated.

Participants who attend must be diagnosed with arthritis, and be able to hear and understand instructions.

It is recommended that you consult with your doctor before commencing a new exercise program.

*Please wear comfortable clothes for exercising and bring a water bottle.

Time: Tuesday’s 1:30pm to 2:15pm.

Cost: $70 ($60 online).

Arthritis Exercise Program – Shenton Park

This is a gentle exercise program suitable for people with any form of diagnosed arthritis. Classes are led by Jane Stott, Physiotherapist.

This program will include exercises for strength, flexibility and balance.

The class can be done mostly sitting down if necessary, mat exercises are optional.

Please wear comfortable clothes for exercising and bring a water bottle.

Time: Monday’s 11:00am to 12:00pm.

Cost: $95 ($85 online)

Tai Chi for Arthritis – Mundaring

The movements of the Tai Chi for Arthritis program have been specifically designed to be safe for people with arthritis. The slow movements prevent injury, but build muscle strength and calm the mind.

This ten-week program is delivered by Arthritis & Osteoporosis WA on Monday’s from 11:30am – 12:30pm, 12:45pm – 1:45pm and 1:45pm to 2:45pm. The ten week course costs $115.

Tai Chi for Arthritis – Mundaring

The movements of the Tai Chi for Arthritis program have been specifically designed to be safe for people with arthritis. The slow movements prevent injury, but build muscle strength and calm the mind.

This ten-week program is delivered by Arthritis & Osteoporosis WA on Wednesday’s from 10:30am – 11:30am (Beginners) and 11:45am to 12:45pm.
