Movement Classes “Befriend the Floor”

A majority of adults are almost estranged from the floor/ground on which they live everyday and even fearful of it in the face of the ever-increasing risk of a “fall”. Using the Feldenkrais Method of learning, this series of 4 movement classes are designed to help you rekindle your familiarity with the floor and feel safe and capable on the ground.

Movement Classes with the Feldenkrais Method

Participants are verbally guided to perform various movements in a methodical and step-by-step manner that are designed to improve flexibility, coordination, balance and other capabilities. Suitable for mature people who wish to expand their mobility or ease into activity or self-manage their pain and discomfort. Individual lessons are also available.

Exergaming

Our Exergaming group offers light exercise to improve your balance and hand-eye coordination, with a friendly group to cheer you on. You don’t need to be tech savvy to have a go and to have a great deal of fun while using your body and your brain in a wide range of interactive games.

Please note that places are limited so bookings are essential.

Chair Yoga

Chair yoga uses a chair for stability to achieve the yoga poses while having the same health benefits.

Added benefits include flexibility, reduced stress and social interaction.

Facilitated by an accredited Yoga instructor it is a fun and gentle way to achieve great health results.
