This can be prevalent, often distressing, and can result in both physical and social limitations in their lives. Understanding Fear of Falling and how this impacts on falls risk provides a valuable basis for reducing future or recurrent falls. Health care providers who supporting and caring for older adults have an opportunity to learn how to identify and manage Fear of Falling to help reduce the risk of falling.
