Check your medicines forum

As part of the check your medicines campaign Stay On Your Feet® will be hosting the check your medicines forum. This forum provides the opportunity for health professionals to learn and discuss what their role is when it comes to medication and falls.

Presenters will discuss best practice and draw from their own experience regarding medicine use in older adults. Topics will include conducting medicines reviews, keeping up-to-date medicines lists, sleeping tablet use, sleep hygiene practices and the importance of taking a multi-disciplinary approach to a patient care.

Guest speakers include:

  • Deirdre Criddle – Complex Care Coordinator/Pharmacist at CoNeCT, SCGH; awarded 2012 Australian Pharmacist of the Year& 2013 Consultant Pharmacist of the Year
  • Kate Ingram – Geriatrician and Clinical Lead of Falls Specialist Clinic, SCGH;
  • Pradeep Jayasuria  – General Practitioner, Community Practice;
  • John McLachlan – Respiratory and Sleep Physician and Clinical Leadof Pulmonary Physiology and Sleep Medicines, FSH.
