Community Connect

Staying connected to our community is becoming difficult during these challenging times, however, now more than ever, we need to keep socially and emotionally connected and engaged.

With the support of the Department of Communities, Injury Matters has launched Community Connect to keep older Western Australians connected and to reduce social isolation. Community Connect is a free program that removes any physical barriers to being socially connected, by linking older adults living in Western Australia, with others in the community. Each month, members are matched with others in the program to share stories, social activities and create a positive connection.

Connecting is easy, simply use email, phone or video call, such as FaceTime or Skype. You can share stories, activities for passing the time and get to know your community, all from the comfort and safety of your home.

There is no age limit on making new friends, something as simple as a chat can boost your mood.

If you, your family member or friend, would like to join Community Connect simply register at or call the Injury Matters team on 1300 30 35 40 and we can help you register.

Stay On Your Feet® is provided by Injury Matters and funded by the Western Australian Department of Health.
