Meet our regional volunteers!

Cynthia and Marleen are two of our wonderful Bunbury volunteers. Read on to learn more about two of our lovely Injury Matters volunteers.

How long have you volunteered for Injury Matters?

I have been a volunteer with Injury Matters for just over two years.

Why do you volunteer for Injury Matters?

Volunteering is so rewarding because it is lovely to give to others, and the more you can feel as though you are helping others, the more satisfying it feels. I have also met the most wonderful people, both fellow volunteers and in the general public.

Would you recommend volunteering to others?

I certainly do recommend volunteering to anyone who has any time (The best people are the busy ones!) It brings a focus to your life and gives you a sense of self-worth. I really enjoy having a good laugh and have an inflated sense of the ridiculous, I think this soon becomes apparent because people are always ready for a chuckle with me.

How long have you volunteered for Injury Matters?

I have volunteered with Injury Matters for two years.

Would you recommend volunteering to others?

I saw a need and followed through. Volunteering provides me with fulfilment.

Would you recommend volunteering to others?

Yes! Volunteering in any capacity is worthwhile and provides mateship and stimulation for a need that helps others.

A fun fact about me… I have an answer ready for most situations and a warped sense of humour!
